Mid-Trimester Progress Report
The mid-point of the third trimester is Monday, May 14th. The Portal will be updated by teachers by the end of the school day on Monday to provide our parents and students with an accurate snapshot of student performance. Teachers will provide at least 1-2 comments for every student to capture a particular strength or area of concern related to their academic progress.

►STAFF APPRECIATION
The WMS PTO's first ever Staff Appreciation Flower Sale was a great success thanks to all of the families at WIS, WMS and WHS who showed their appreciation of their school's teachers and staff with a bouquet of flowers last Monday. The sale raised $2,621, net of expenses - a great start to a new annual fundraiser for our school! Thanks to all of you who supported the fundraiser by purchasing flowers. The teachers were wowed by the beautiful arrangements that brightened the school last week. A special thanks to Isabelle Alvarado for her behind the scenes work creating the order forms, publicizing the event, making the parent notecards and arranging flowers! Thanks also to our other "floral designers" who worked to create over 50 arrangements at WMS and WHS: Jenn Goetz, Nadine Kerns, Leigh Meccay, Stephanie Romaldini and Christine Slump (thanks again for the Vases!). You are a great group of ladies!
►YEARBOOKS!
Middle School Yearbooks can still be ordered through the school. The cost for a yearbook is $45 and checks should be made out to “Weston Middle School.” Checks should be sent to the attention of Carla Howard.

►FRESH AIR FUND
GIVE THE GIFT OF FRESH AIR THIS SUMMER- Join other Weston families in opening your home and hearts to a New York City child from a disadvantaged community.
Each year since 1877, thousands of Fresh Air Fund children visit volunteer host families in 13 states and Canada through the Friendly Town Program.
We are seeking volunteer host families who would be willing to open their hearts and home to give city children from low-income communities an experience they'll never forget. Children ages 6-12 stay for one to two weeks and are eager to experience the simple life our community has to offer - stargazing, running barefoot in the grass, a day at Compo beach, or swimming in a pool. For more information, visit our website, www.freshair.org or contact Martha Mintzer, Fund Representative,203-226-6627
